Everyone has different ideas on what style of makeup they want, from au natural to full out glamour. Our consultations with clients are very thorough. We’ll look over any reference photos you’ve brought us, go over all details, narrow them down and pick every detail apart until we know all your likes and dislikes. It’s not what I want, it’s what you the bride-to-be wants. But at the same time, whats seen in the mirror and what will show up on camera are two different things too. There’s a lot that goes into bridal makeup applications.  
      So here's some more photos of the gorgeous and so very fun, Julie with  four of her TWELVE lovely maids on her wedding day!  We got them all prepared & done between 10am until 1:30  that day~ can we say fast!!?!  ~thats only three and a half hours!!!

 All products used are of the highest standards, carefully selected and proven for the unique long wearing & 'tear proof' bridal needs as well as professional photography. We carry items for all skin types and skin tones. Some of the brands used are; Bobbi Brown, Chanel, Laura Mercier, Urban Decay, Makeup Forever and MAC.   Also, Face Atelier, Cinema Secrets, Kett, Temptu, & Embryolisse.  

Also, do you cover scars / tattoos? Yes we do but, that's a different post though...

Sylvia applied an even layer of foundation to ensure Rachel's makeup will last the whole day.  She used the Airbrush Makeup for full coverage and gave Rachel a glowy and even complexion. Body Bling for Brides

Now you can  get a  henna artist to come to your bridal suite the day of your wedding. How Fun is THAT!   Just give us a call to get a custom quote: they are done by the  very talented Henna and Body Artist  Andrea O'Donnell MUA who charges $40 and up depending on the size and area. These pictured run in the $40 - $50 range.  We can  also add Swarovski crystals, pearls, rose petals, various holographic glitters and other 'blingy thingy dingies' :) It is mica mixed with adhesive, which sticks to the skin nicely, and it will last the entire evening even through dancing and sweating etc... it might even last a day or two!    So how about some crystals or pearls, silver/ gold or soft opal/ blush pink designs for that  added bridal glamour :)

I'm often asked how long to allow for hair and makeup on your wedding day

Your wedding day is a once of a lifetime experience. The getting ready process with your closest friends and family is just another way to really enjoy the day.

I'm often asked how long to allow for hair and makeup on your wedding day~ All of our brides and bridal party  tell us how much fun they had getting dolled up. It really adds to the day and is because we  a good plan of action  ~ we ask first: Whats the time you would like to be 'finished by?  We then devise & provide your personal timeline in a convenient folio for you  to keep, which we present to you at your trial run!

                                                                ...   ~which leads to my next point ~

IMPORTANT! If you want the Hair / Makeup / Veil attachment process captured on film, make sure your photographer arrives at least 20 to 45 minutes  prior to the completion time to get the shots.    The photos last a lifetime!

Sylvia Farmer, professional makeup specialist, licensed esthetician & founder/owner of Bridal Beauty On-Location Makeup & Hair, has been involved in all aspects of the beauty and fashion industry but specializes in airbrush makeup for brides and their wedding parties. She is a graduate of The Robert Fiance Institute (New York City), Complections International (Toronto, Canada) & Cinema Secrets Hollywood (California). We offer hair & airbrush makeup trials, but also offer a complimentary face-to-face consultation in which we help plan the perfect bridal hair and makeup package for your wedding.
Bridal Beauty’s team has won the distinctive Best in Weddings Award in 2011 and 2012 from The Knot, and was also given the 2011 Bride's Choice Award from Wedding Wire.

How did you get started?

I used to be a model in Japan & upon 'retiring' in Hawaii, I taught at the National Modeling School there. I was recruited by several major cosmetic lines to do makeup for them when approached by a client who wanted to hire me to do her wedding makeup that weekend. THAT is when my future became clear. I have specialized in wedding makeup for brides & their wedding parties ever since.

What is the best part about your job?

Seeing wedding photos and hearing the brides' happy comments are my favorite things of all and my biggest reward.

What sets you apart from others in your industry?

I realize the importance of listening to a bride's needs and creating a relaxing environment for the big day's preparations. I've been told I posses a soothing nature and give full attention to the details, which makes brides feel at ease no matter what is going on around them! I am flattered and thankful for putting their faith in me and my team and entrusting us to one of the most important days in their lives. It's your day - it's your time to be beautiful and we’re there to make that happen. 

 

Do you have any hidden talents?

I speak conversational level Japanese & fluent Dutch language!

We are so fortunate and grateful to continue growing...this time into a bigger studio!

2011 was Bridal Beauty’s best year yet. We are so grateful to all of our wonderful brides and associates, thank you!   We can't wait to see what 2012 brings. We have recently moved into a bigger space that will allow us to offer fun classes and events for brides and their wedding parties.
